Re-Membering IdentitiesA Triple Bill production featuring new works by Max Chen, Royston Fan, and Vroom Broom group.
Re-Membering Identities features three new works presented through inter-disciplinary performing arts. Max Chen explores the mis-representations of stereotyping with Singaporeans as the subject bringing elements of live operatic singing. Royston Fan is inspired by how different cultures, beliefs and principles combine into one sociality in a uniquely theatrical style. Vroom Broom group fleshes out the socio-political issues by raising questions on how an individual should (or should not) behave in a society using EDM as a frame for their piece. Through these three pieces, each of them peek into a fundamental issue on identity; are we truly embodying what we wish to be identified or are we re-membering identities that we think we hold?
